FIC and VID: Inspector George Gently

As we've now finished our first re-watch of The Professionals (which I enjoyed just as much the second time around), we've started with the second round of Inspector George Gently. I absolutely adore that show. It is so well made, and I love the focus on the characters. The 90 minute episodes work really well in that respect—there's enough time for character development and nicely layered plots. The acting is SO GOOD: Martin Shaw and Lee Ingleby are a brilliant team, and I can't wait for Lisa McGrillis to show up as Rachel Coles later on. The performances are so nuanced and engaging.
