Star Trek: Strange New Worlds

I’ve been watching Star Trek: Strange New Worlds with my brothers, and man, I love that show! Two more episodes to go, and then I can star scour AO3 for fic.

There are so many brilliant characters (and actors) on the show. Pike (THE HAIR! THE FACES!) is a great Captain with emotional depth and an excellent rapport with his crew members. Ethan Peck does a brilliant job with Spock (and that’s a tough challenge), and I ADORE Christine Chapel. And Erica Ortegas. And Nyota Uhura. And La’an Noonien-Singh. Just all of them, really. And all of their relationships.

I haven’t felt this excited about a Trek show in ages, and it feels really good. (Once I’ve finished the first season, I’m going to hunt for an icon. Still a bit weary about spoilers at this point.)

AU Exchange roundup

I didn't sign up for auexchange this year (because I couldn't get myself organized), but I'll definitely try to next year. It's such a great exchange, right down my alley. Since I had some time off this summer, I could do some treating and pinch hitting, which was fun!
