Music/Vid Likes:
I have broad musical tastes and enjoy songs/ instrumental pieces from many different genres, though I’m not a big fan of Extreme Metal or Hip Hop. As for the for mood of the vid, I’m open for anything; it can be fun and light-hearted, romantic, introspective, sad, angsty—whatever you feel like. I especially like vids focused on characters and their friendships/relationships with others.
DNWs: extreme gore, incest
FANDOMS:
Danger Man (TV) & The Prisoner (1967) [UMBRELLA]
When I first read about the possibility of nominating umbrella fandoms, these two shows instantly came to mind. I always felt it likely that Number Six was John Drake and would love to see that explored in a vid. If you want to focus on either one of the shows, that’s fine too.
due South
This has been my main show/fandom for two years now, and I love everything about it—I like all seasons, characters and their friendships. If you want to go down a shippy route, Fraser/Kowalski is my thing, but I’d be just as happy to receive a gen vid. A Dief-centric vid could also be fun. I would also love a Fraser vid showing how he gets a lot more of what’s going on than he lets on.
Hell on Wheels (TV)
I watched this show a few weeks ago, and I got sucked in big time. Cullen Bohannon is such an intriguing, conflicted and multi-layered character with so many demons in his past (and present). I’d love a focusing on him and/or his relationship with one or more characters on the show. He always has such a tight reign in his emotions, and I really enjoy the moments when the facade cracks and his feeling bubble to the surface. Other favorite characters are: Fong | Mei, Lily Bell, Ruth Cole, Louise Ellison, Psalms Jackson, Elam Ferguson. As for ships—I really love Cullen Bohannon/Fong | Mei but am also partial to Lily Bell/Cullen Bohannon and Cullen Bohannon/Ruth Cole, as well as Cullen Bohannon/Elam Ferguson (all would also as work with a friendship focus.)
Miami Vice (TV)
I only discovered the show this year, and I absolutely adore it. The visual style, direction and music (both Jan Hammer’s score and the original songs used) are all fantastic and really innovative for the time. But what really grabbed me was the emotional depth, the multi-layered, richly drawn characters and the often ambiguous storylines. The show has a lot more going for it than just stylish outfits and flashy cars (though I’m a sucker for that Ferrari).
Sonny Crockett is my favorite character, and I would love a vid centered around him and/or his relationship with the other members of the Vice team (especially Rico, Gina, Trudy, Marty). A Gina & Trudy vid would also be awesome, or one centered around Trudy Joplin or Martin Castillo.

- Sonny and Rico, friends through thick and thin
- Chances: boats chasing boats, cars chasing boats, cars chasing planes, cars chasing cars…
- The Testarossa
- The ‘Sonny becomes Bennett’ storyline (and possibly the aftermath)

A Single Man [SAFETY]
It’s been a while since I watched this movie, but I remember being stuck by how beautifully shot it was. A vid focused on George would be the most obvious, but in what direction you want to take it or what aspects you want to focus on is entirely up to you.
Star Trek: Strange New Worlds
I absolutely adore this show. I’ve not been this into a Trek show in decades, and I’m enjoying the hell out if it. I love all the characters and their friendships. Some of my favorites are: Christopher Pike, Spock, La’an Noonien-Singh, Nyota Uhura, Erica Ortegas and Christine Chapel. I love how Captain Pike builds relationships with everybody on board and now so many combinations of characters get a chance to shine in the show.
Ships I’m partial to: Christopher Pike/Spock, Christine Chapel/Spock
Friendships: Christopher Pike & Spock, Christopher Pike & Erica Ortegas, Christopher Pike & Everybody, Christine Chapel & Erica Ortegas, Christine Chapel & Spock, Hemmer & Nyota Uhura, Nyota Uhura and Spock, La’an Noonien-Singh & Nyota Uhura, Number One | Una Chin-Riley & La’an Noonien-Singh…basically everybody. I just love the whole ensemble. (Side note—I‘m not super keen on this version of James T. Kirk. I don’t mind if he appears in the vid, I‘d just prefer him not to be the focus.)
The Streets of San Francisco
My dad recommended this show to me last year and I absolutely adore it. Both Karl Malden and (young!) Michael Douglas are excellent in it, and I especially love their friendship and banter. There’s an element of mentor/student dynamics, but as friends they are also equals, and I really enjoyed that. I would love a vid that showcases this friendship.
Wilby Wonderful [SAFETY]
I love this movie, the gentle pace, the island visuals and the characters with their various (often complicated) relationships. Favorite characters I’d enjoy seeing in a vid: Duck MacDonald, Dan Jarvis, Buddy French, Carol French, Sandra Anderson, Emily Anderson (I’m also open to any ships). Something focusing on what life is like on the island would also be cool.
