Dear Festividder,

Thank you for making me a vid! This is my first time participating in the festivids exchange, and I’m really looking forward to receiving a gift. I love surprises and am bound to enjoy whatever you create for me!

 

I have broad musical tastes and enjoy songs/ instrumental pieces from many different genres, though I’m not a big fan of Extreme Metal or Hip Hop. As for the for mood of the vid, I’m open for anything; it can be funny and light-hearted, romantic, introspective, sad, angsty—whatever you feel like.

 

due South

This has been my main show/fandom for a year now, and I love everything about it. I like all seasons, characters and their relationships. If you want to go down a shippy route , Fraser/Kowalski is my thing, but I’d be just as happy to receive a gen vid. A Dief-vid could also be fun.

 

Babylon 5

I was obsessed with this show in the 90s and have rewatched it multiple times since. My favorite seasons are 2 and 3, with the whole buildup to the Shadow War and the confrontation with the Earth Alliance under President Clark. I especially like G’Kar, Londo, Sheridan, Ivanova, Garibaldi, Franklin, Delenn and Kosh. I’m not terribly keen on season 5, especially the Telepath War storyline and Byron. I’d prefer either gen or Sheridan/Delenn for this fandom, and I also really enjoy the G’Kar & Londo dynamic. A vid about Ivanova or Delenn (or both) would also be cool. Classical or instrumental music could work well, something similar to (or even from) the excellent original soundtrack.

 

Wilby Wonderful

I’d love a vid that centers around any of the characters and their relationships or on life on the island (gen, het or slash, all would be fine).

 

Shattered (Canadian TV)

This show calls out for an angsty vid with a focus on Ben Sullivan’s character.

 

Slings and Arrows (TV 2003)

I adore this show and its characters. Particular favorites are Geoffrey, Ellen, Oliver, Anna, María and Nahum. I’d prefer if you could avoid Holly Day and Sanjay/Froghammer as the main focus. A Geoffrey, Ellen, Geoffrey/Ellen or Geoffrey/Ellen/Oliver vid would be great, or one that focuses on the people who make the theater festival happen behind the scenes (I have a particular fondness for Anna). Side note - all 18 episodes are available on YouTube.

 

The Avengers (TV 1961)

I love the relationship between Emma Peel and John Steed, and Emma Peel in general.
